Affordable telephone service.. - The Link-Up and Lifeline Assistance Programs of Florida are designed to ensure that all residents of Florida have access to telephone service and connections in their homes. These Programs help make telephone service affordable to low-income customers in our state. Link-up Florida gives a 50% rebate in the telephone hook-up charge (up to $30.00). Lifeline Assistance gives a $13.50 credit per month on local phone bills. Over a year's time, that is a savings of $162.00. The Florida Public Service Commission wants all eligible low-income residents to receive these discounts. You need to sign up to benefit...

Move managers.. - The National Association of Senior Move Managers (NASMM) is a 501(c)(6), not-for-profit, professional association of organizations dedicated to assisting older adults and families with the physical and emotional demands of downsizing, relocating, or modifying their homes. Assisted living consortium.. - The Consumer Consortium on Assisted Living (CCAL) is a national nonprofit consumer-based organization nationwide focused on the needs, rights and protection of assisted living consumers, their caregivers and loved ones. The CCAL, * Believes that advocacy action is necessary today to ensure quality care tomorrow; * Advocates for the safety, quality care and protection of assisted living residents;
* Educates consumers to help them navigate the confusing array of assisted living choices and make appropriate, informed decisions
