Older Americans Month: It’s Never too Late to Learn, Jacksonville couple in 80s get UNF honorary degrees after decade of classes

May is Older Americans Month! This year’s theme is “Engage at Every Age.” The focus is on never being too old (or young) to participate in activities that promote healthy physical, mental and emotional well-being. It’s all about being active in your community. When you are active and engaged in your community or with those around you, it helps make a difference. Your engagement shouldn’t just add value to your life, but to those around you as well.

What better way to kick off Older Americans Month than to share this amazing feature from Jacksonville.com of a local couple in their 80’s receiving honorary degrees from the University of North Florida! Congratulations to husband and wife, Mimi and Marty Kaufman on receiving their honorary degrees on Friday, April 27 after 10 years of auditing classes at UNF. It’s never too late to go after your goals in life.
